MessageBinder runs entirely in your web browser. When you add your Google Takeout file, exported WhatsApp chat or phone message backup (an iPhone backup folder, an Android backup file or a Mac Messages database), your messages, photos, contacts, phone numbers and voicemails are read and converted on your own device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them. From a backup folder, only the message, contact, call-log and attachment files are read.

The site loads only its own files (the page, its code and fonts). It uses no analytics, no advertising, no cookies and no tracking, and it does not store your messages in the browser.

License check: if you buy the full export, the page sends your license key, and a short device label such as “Win32” or “iPhone”, to Lemon Squeezy to confirm the purchase. It does this when you enter the key and again when you come back to the site. When the check succeeds, the key is remembered in your browser (local storage) so you don’t have to enter it again (except once the device limit is reached); clearing your browser data removes it. No messages or files are ever sent.

Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability, and the license check reaches Lemon Squeezy like any web request. These logs never contain your messages or files.

Payment is handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record and receives only what it needs to process the payment (such as your email address and payment details). It never receives your messages.
